"For you have been given not only the privilege of trusting in Christ
but also the privilege of suffering for him."
Philippians 1:29 NLT

To those who are not believers this verse is foolishness but to me it
gives purpose and a sense of honor. Even though it is painful and the
worst thing I have ever gone through, I count it "all joy" to know
that I know my ability to trust in God is a gift that He found me
worthy of. As this trial has played out with all the horrors
associated with it God has directed my every step, provided my every
need and given me the ability journal the experience in a manner that
has touched the lives of thousands of people around the world.

I would never have chosen this living nightmare as a way to show His
love for me but then again His ways are not my ways and His thoughts
are not my thoughts. My natural man screams and at times weeps
bitterly because the love of my life has been taken from me, but there
is an unexplainable peace in my spirit. I know, not just cross my
fingers and "hope", but know, that Janet has fulfilled her purpose,
finished her race and is now resting in the presence of the God she
danced before every day.

Janet's suffering is forever done but mine has just begun and I can
only pray that my faith will remain as strong as hers was as she saw
death rapidly approaching. Having an eternal perspective gives me the
ability to see my present circumstance as a way to bring honor to
Jesus Christ for the way He has and will continue to minister to those
He loves through my ramblings. It has been, and remains an honor and
privilege to have been given the gift of faith and ability to trust
His faithfulness.

The battle between my spirit and my flesh rages on, and likely will
for a very long time, but His gifts and callings are irrevocable and
even if my flesh wins a fight or two the ultimate victory will be
awarded to my spirit because He has given me the faith to believe in
Him. Nothing will ever be able to make me deny the reality of God's
presence throughout this dark chapter of my life. My only desire,
except having Janet back, is to bring honor to God so that when I am
reunited with her we can rejoice together knowing our suffering has
helped others make it through the trials in their lives. To God be all
the glory, honor and praise for His unending faithfulness and
mercy......

"The Joy of the Lord is my strength...."

As my journey continues to unfold I find myself needing joy in my mind
and heart but every time I say or hear the word I break down into an
emotional pile of rubble. Joy is so far from me but was once a thing
of abundance in my life and a goal I have set for myself to acquire
again.

I went to an early morning men's meeting with Al Wood today and the
topic we discussed was reaching our purpose by setting goals. As I
listened to the men discussing their different struggles in making
their daily goals the Lord reminded me of Marcus Luttrell's story of
survival. Marcus is a Navy SEAL who was the "Lone Survivor" of a
mission to kill a terrorist leader in Afghanistan. Many people saw the
movie or read the book about the mission he and his team were on and
know that he faced insurmountable odds against an overwhelming enemy
force in his struggle to survive.

Marcus fell off a cliff in the firefight that killed all of his
teammates and broke his back but he managed to hide himself from the
Taliban until darkness fell. He lay in a cleft of a rock wounded and
broken not knowing what was going to transpire as his enemy searched
for him. He tells how in his mind he wanted to die because the pain
was so unbearable and the possibility of reaching his purpose of
making it back to the military base he left seemed unattainable.

He says as he laid there wanting to give up there was voice or a force
working in him that would not allow him to give up. He made the
decision in his mind to fight until he could fight no more and he
attributed that will to survive to his training as a SEAL. As he lay
there waiting for darkness to fall so he could escape he devised a
plan and set a preliminary goal he was determined to reach. His
journey to freedom and healing was marked by a series of goals he set
for himself and though his ultimate purpose was being rescued he was
not focused solely on the purpose but on the next goal he set. He knew
the journey itself could kill him because he was badly wounded and had
a broken back but again he was not focused on the circumstance he was
in but on the goal he had set.

When darkness fell he took the chance to come out of hiding by
crawling on his belly making his way to the bottom of the mountain. He
reached the bottom in agony but did not allow himself to cry out in
pain which would have alerted his enemy to his position. When he got
to the bottom he managed to get his knife out and stretched his arm
out in front of him as far as he could and drew a line in the sand. He
then drug his body forward until his feet crossed the line he drew.
Then he reached forward and drew another line ahead of him and again
dragged himself across the line. He repeated this process of setting
"small" goals until he reached a place of safety where he was then
rescued. He dragged himself 8 miles through the harsh terrain of
Afghanistan with a broken back and multiple wounds, but he
accomplished his purpose of survival because of his focus on the
immediate goal.

As I recalled Marcus's story of survival this morning I was inspired
to reaffirm my determination to crawl my way out of the valley I am
in. Like Marcus I am broken and wounded from the fight I have been in
and in my mind I want to surrender but because of the "training" I
have had I am determined to make out to a place where I can be rescued
and healed. Until this morning I feel like I have been hidden in the
"Cleft of the Rock" but now I am being led to find my way to the
valley floor where I can draw a line to drag myself across. When I
cross that line I will draw another and another until I am rescued and
healed.

I will not surrender and give up hope for once again having joy in my
life, I will continue to draw lines in the ground and drag myself
along achieving each goal as it comes. I will keep my purpose before
me but I will focus on that which is achievable at the moment. The
word of God tells me that joy will come in the morning and while I
wait for dawn to break I will draw a line to drag myself across today
and worry about drawing tomorrows line tomorrow. The joy of the Lord
will once again be my strength and I will not give up until I achieve
that end....

"And now, dear brothers and sisters, we want you to know what will
happen to the believers who have died so you will not grieve like
people who have no hope." 1st Thessalonians 4 NLT

It is comforting to know that God does not condemn us for grieving and
expressing that grief even when we have no control over it. To date I
have not made it more than a few hours since 2:40am January 25th
without at least shedding a few tears, and more often than not weeping
uncontrollably. With each outburst of emotion not once has God told me
to quit expressing my grief through sobbing. In fact He has encouraged
me to allow my emotions to manifest and each time it has been Him who
has brought comfort to my soul.

He has given me the ability to view Janet's death from the vantage
point of eternity and that perspective has gotten me through each
manifestation with the same hope I had as I watched her slip away from
me and this life. I still don't understand why He allowed her to be
taken by way of cancer, and I may never know, but that really doesn't
matter to me, what does matter is the fact that I know her and I will
meet again one day. We won't be reunited as husband and wife because
that relationship does not exist in eternity but we will be reunited
together in a new and powerful way with a form of love that will make
the 40 years we shared in this realm seem like a high-school crush.

She is experiencing the highest form of love right now, a love that is
unknowable by any human living in this world. I don't believe the pain
I have now will ever go completely away but I have the assurance that
what I am living through now will be used to more perfectly transform
me into the likeness of Christ. All the trials I am going through now
will be used to prepare me for the next phase of this life and for
eternity.

Jesus said that the one who is given much will have much required of
him and the one who is forgiven much will love much. The principle
revealed in His words is that the deeper the love we experience the
greater the revelation of that love will be when we are separated from
it. The revelation of love we receive when we are separated from it
will bring a much deeper appreciation for those we love now. The
purpose for our existence is to learn to love and to put that love
into action toward those in our lives and those who have yet to meet
the author of love.

I was given a great gift in the form of 40 years of love with Janet
and the revelation of that love is being revealed through the depth of
the pain I am experiencing from being separated. I am grateful for
every day I was given with her and I long for the day when we are
reunited in the perfect revelation of love that will be revealed upon
my death or the return of Jesus Christ. Jesus Christ and His promise
of the resurrection is my hope and I will rejoice in that promise as I
await the day He has ordained for me to leave this realm and join Him
and the countless others who have gone on before me. Because of the
revelation of His love for me and for Janet I will grieve more deeply
than some but I do not grieve as those who have no hope..... Come
quickly Lord....come quickly.

January 28, 2015

I was able to get some sleep last night without taking any sleep aids
for the first time since this began, only a couple hours but that
helps. I woke up dreading the day ahead knowing the phone calls and
drop in visits would continue and with them the agony of having to go
over the details of how this all happened again.

Today I have to call the funeral director to order more memorial cards
and go over the details of how the bearers will carry her casket into
and out of the church and to the grave site. I have to drive by the
little cemetery behind the church where she will be buried as they are
digging the hole for her body to be placed in, and I have to go the
dry cleaners to pick up the suit I will wear to deliver her eulogy.
But probably the most difficult thing to do will be to summarize her
life and prepare to deliver a message of hope for those of us who
remain here to face whatever it is that the future holds.

The "valley" seems to get deeper as the days go on and the mountain
appears farther away making it more difficult to reach and climb. With
each step toward putting her body in the grave the darkness becomes
blacker and the shadows deepen. The thoughts of loneliness and despair
multiply and tears are coming from much deeper within me than the tear
ducts in my eyes, they feel like they are being drained from my soul.

Yet even though the darkness seems to be winning and my mind feels
like a formless void surrounded by chaos, as the earth was when it was
created, I am somehow able to hold onto the hope I have. I know that I
know the light will overtake the darkness, chaos will become order and
the mountain visible to me again.

I keep seeing the words in Genesis "The Spirit of God hovered over the
darkness" and I am reminded that even though it appears bad right now,
at some point, He will say "Let there be light" and I know there will
be light. I long to hear Him speak to the darkness so the chaos in my
mind will be replaced by peace and instead of the images of suffering
Toots went through my mind will see all the years we shared and the
love that held us together. How long Oh God before you speak.......

January 27, 2015

I thought the journey was supposed to end when Janet made it through
the "Valley of Decision" and walked into the light that had formed the
darkest shadows we had ever seen. I presumed the whole trial was to
test her faith the way Job's faith was tested and that once she had
finished the race and won the fight everything would end and slowly
return to normal but nothing could have been further from the truth.

All the things I have written over the last few weeks about remaining
in the fight with her faith in tact was as much for me after she left
as it was for the people who were reading them. The voices in my head
that are full of hopelessness, loneliness and despair are so loud and
so clear they almost drown out that quiet whisper that assures me I am
not alone. Every time I say or consider saying I feel alone and I want
to drop out of everything, that all too familiar voice whispers "You
know you don't mean that. You are going to make it through this in
time so just do what you know you have to do and say what you need to
say and I will be with you and I will carry you when I must."

I don't know how long it will take to find the light that still forms
those ominous shadows, but I know I will. I am feeling like I am going
to have to go to the mountain top to be able to see the light clearly
before I can go on with life. It is as though my purpose in this
journey was to help Toots find her way through her "Valley Of
Decision" and walk into the light and now leave that valley and climb
to the mountain top to rest a while before I go on.

I hope that when I have rested from this fight and it is time to leave
the mountain and return to the fight I do so with the courage Toots
had. At times I almost wish I could find my own "valley" to go through
and be with her, but His purpose is what I must pursue and that is
what I will do.

I hold to the promise that all things work together for good and that
because of the events of the last few weeks I will more closely
reflect the image and likeness of Jesus Christ. I know that because of
the comfort I have received and the peace I have experienced in my
spirit I will be able to comfort others who are in or approaching that
dark valley and I will be able to do so with true compassion, empathy
and authority I did not posses before this trial.

To God be the glory for all He has done and will yet do to further His
Kingdom through this journey through life......

January 4, 2015

"Satan replied to the Lord, “Skin for skin! A man will give up
everything he has to save his life. But reach out and take away his
health, and he will surely curse you to your face!”

Job's story reveals the reason for all of the troubles in this life
and it reveals the way through them as well. Not only was Job
blameless but he was also a man of integrity who had a healthy fear of
God. Though the devil was the perpetrator of the attacks on him and
his family he could do nothing without having permission from God.

Its interesting that in the course of their conversation in the court
room of God the devil says he was roaming around looking at what is
happening and it was God who pointed out Job. When He mentioned him
the devil knew immediately who he was and was not happy with him for
his trust in God. God had to give permission for the devil to touch
Job and He put limitations on what he could do. The devil's goal was
to destroy Job's faith and his goal is the same in our trial today,
but he cannot do anything without Gods permission.

Because Janet I believe and trust the truth of the Bible we know the
attack on her life is to get us to turn our backs on God renouncing
our faith. Her and I have been walking with God for more than 30 years
and have faced many trials together and have seen Him deliver us many
times in many ways and there is no doubt that He is going to deliver
us this time as well. Whether He does so through a miracle, a healing
or by taking her home is of no concern, we will praise Him because we
believe He is our Father and He alone knows the perfect outcome for
this trial.

Regardless of the outcome we know there will be a testimony of God's
goodness and mercy to everyone who is watching us go through this
horrible attack of the devil on Janet's body. Already we have heard of
how her life has touched many peoples lives and that her current
situation has caused them to revisit their faith after walking away
from God. We join the angels of heaven rejoicing over even one who
repents and turns their life over to God.

I admit that there is no joy in the thought of being separated from
Janet and my heart and soul ache at even the thought of that prospect.
Seeing her suffer and being helpless to relieve her pain or the fears
that try to invade her mind is overwhelming for me. Trying to be
"Strong" while watching our kids and those who love her struggle with
the possibility of losing her is becoming more difficult with every
passing hour. For 40 years she has been my everything and she has been
beside me through all my sorrows and fears speaking words of wisdom
and comfort.

Through it all I have this confidence; her soul is completely
surrendered to Jesus and her eternal life is secure with her God. She
is in His hands and there is no safer place to be.

I take courage from the example of King David, as long as there is
life in her body and breath in her lungs I will plead with God for her
life because I do not know what His plan through this trial is. Should
He decide to take my wife from me at this time I will be heart broken
but I will not become angry or bitter about that decision because,
like King David, I have hope in the resurrection and our being
reunited in eternity.

He alone is God and there is no other in whom we trust. We will
proclaim His goodness in the land of the living as long as there is
breath in our lungs........

January 2, 2015

He is El Roi, The God who sees us. He sees all that is within us and
He is not taken by surprise by that which surrounds us in our trial.
We put our trust in Him and His faithfulness. He has not left or
forsaken us no matter what our feelings may try to convince us of.

We look to the mountains but where does our help come from? It comes
from the Lord, He alone is our help in times of trouble. He is our
strong high tower, our shield and buckler. He is Jehovah Nissi, the
Lord our banner and He goes before us lighting our path in the
darkness as He is filling our spirit with songs of deliverance.

He is closer than a brother.....He is sovereign over all.....He is our
God.....He is our King.....He is the I Am.....He is Jesus.....He is,
not was or will be......HE IS

January 1, 2015

"So you have not received a spirit that makes you fearful slaves.
Instead, you received God’s Spirit when he adopted you as his own
children. Now we call him, “Abba, Father.” For his Spirit joins with
our spirit to affirm that we are God’s children. And since we are his
children, we are his heirs. In fact, together with Christ we are heirs
of God’s glory. But if we are to share his glory, we must also share
his suffering." (Romans 8:15-17)

It is only through the grace of our God that we are made free from the
fear of things in life that those who do not belong to Him experience.
We understand that we are made from the elements of a fallen world and
as such are subject to the consequences of its corruption. That is not
to say we will all go through hardships, indeed God allows some to go
through life with relative ease suffering only the inevitable death
that is appointed to every man.

The thing that sustains believers who go through suffering is the
knowledge that we are loved by our Father and His love is tangible in
the midst of our suffering. We believe that whatever we go through is
going to work out for our ultimate good if we endure to the end. We
know His works and His ways and because we place our trust in Him He
comforts us as only a Father can. It is His perfect love that removes
all fear from us as we walk through the darkest valleys of life.

The word tells us in many places and in many ways that He delivers us
from all our troubles. It says emphatically that He heals all our
diseases through the stripes that Jesus bore in His body and His death
on the cross was the payment for our suffering. As believers we must
stand on those promises but we must do so with the knowledge and
perspective of eternity he has put within our hearts.

To have an eternal perspective means we see the "End Game" not just
the here and now. The here and now, though real, is temporal and but a
fleeting moment of time in eternity. Our ultimate deliverance and
healing comes not in this world but in the world to come. While we are
here we must fight to overcome the sorrows and sickness' associated
with the natural realm by using all the weapons of our warfare to
defeat the works of our adversary. We must pray without ceasing,
continually petitioning the Lord for His grace and favor to win the
victory for us. But we must be willing to accept His answer to our
prayers when He says no or not now as graciously as when He says "So
be it".

King David's intercession for his sick child shows us how having an
eternal perspective in the here and now should be. The story is one of
great sorrow and one of great faith and hope in our God and the
resurrection. While his child was sick and dying David was continually
before God pleading for the child's life to be spared. The scripture
says this about how David responded to the child's death; “I fasted
and wept while the child was alive, for I said, ‘Perhaps the Lord will
be gracious to me and let the child live.’ But why should I fast when
he is dead? Can I bring him back again? I will go to him one day, but
he cannot return to me.”

While we are in the midst of a trial the pain is real and sorrow may
fill our hearts, and tears our eyes, but our sorrows will be turned to
joy when we reach our eternal home. In the mean time if we make our
needs known to our Father He will fill our hearts and minds with a
peace that passes our understanding. He will comfort us in our trial
assuring us that we hope not in vain but with the confidence given
only to those whose trust is in the One True and Living God.

"May the grace of the Lord Jesus Christ, the love of God, and the
fellowship of the Holy Spirit be with you all." "Having done all,
stand"

December 24, 2014

“Look, I am sending you the prophet Elijah before the great and
dreadful day of the Lord arrives. His preaching will turn the hearts
of fathers to their children, and the hearts of children to their
fathers. Otherwise I will come and strike the land with a curse.”

I can't help but believe we are about to see the one promised in this
passage from Malachi appear on the scene the restoration of the family
in every aspect of that relationship will be restored. All the turmoil
in our nation is, to me, evidence that there is a fierce battle taking
place in the heavens. Many believers have been praying for the
restoration of unity in America and just as it took weeks for Daniels
prayer to be answered because of a battle in the 2nd heaven our
prayers will come to fruition if we continue to press in.

I continue to dare to believe it is not coincidence that the day Bart
and I stood in the city of David and prayed for the Lord to restore
unity and favor to our nation that all hell broke out in the streets
of America. The enemy knows his time is short and he is throwing all
he has into the battle for the soul of America. He knows that this
nation has a destiny to spread the gospel of Jesus Christ and that we
are the biggest obstacle in the natural realm to him destroying Israel
and the Jewish people so we must be destroyed for his mission to
succeed. It is also no surprise that my wife and I are being attacked
like never beforer. I was the one who God chose to initiate the
mission to Israel last month and the enemy is trying to destroy my
faith so that he can reverse what was done in Jerusalem, he will not
prevail! I will honor and serve Him because He is worthy!

We cannot allow the evil emanating from those in positions of
authority who are sowing division among the people to discourage us.
The scripture tells us that if we pray according to His will we can be
confident that He hears us and because He hears us we know we will
have what we have asked for. There is no doubt that His will is that
we would dwell together in unity and if we pray without wavering we
will see His Spirit bring victory.

We must become militant in our prayers asking God to destroy His
enemies and to restore the Republic He established. Those who seek to
divide America and those who are perverting the word of God, Al
Sharpton in particular, are enemies of the gospel and they will be
brought to their knees publically and either repent or be destroyed.
There is innocent blood on the hands of those who have sown division
for their own profit and they will be destroyed.

The word of the Lord for the Church is "Pray without ceasing", pray as
though the destiny of this nation and the lives of those you love are
at stake because they are. If we fail to battle for this nation our
posterity will suffer greatly and we will be guilty of the pain and
suffering they endure.......Pray for the destruction of our
enemies....

"The remnant left in Israel will take their place among the nations.
They will be like a lion among the animals of the forest, like a
strong young lion among flocks of sheep and goats, pouncing and
tearing as they go with no rescuer in sight. The people of Israel will
stand up to their foes, and all their enemies will be wiped out."
Micah

I thank God that He is ever watching over His people and that He
always keeps a remnant of people faithful to Him. It is my prayer that
He will continue to keep my family, my friends and me in that remnant.
He is the Good Shepherd and He will protect and defend His flock. His
strength and His authority will be manifest through us, His people,
and we will defeat those who desire to see our destruction. Like
Haman, those who scheme and plot our destruction will be hung on the
gallows they have built to hang the people of God.

Take heart for we will see our God destroy those who desire our destruction...

December 21, 2014

“Must we always be killing each other? Don’t you realize that
bitterness is the only result? When will you call off your men from
chasing their Israelite brothers?”

Many believers long for the day when the infighting among different
denominations will end. We recognize that there are differences
between us but we also recognize that those differences are on
nonessential doctrines of our faith. "There is one Lord, one faith,
one baptism, one God and Father of all, who is over all, in all, and
living through all."

I believe we must awaken to what is happening to us as we continue to
battle one another; we feed the bitterness that our enemy uses to keep
us divided and death is the result. If we become united, not uniform,
I believe the division in our nation will also come to an end. Those
being used to keep the bitterness that kills us alive and increasing
will see that they are being abused by their leaders. We who are born
again believers must become the leaders we are called to be in this
nation and the world, but to do so we must be united in Christ.

There are only a few essential doctrines that must be adhered to to be
a true follower of Christ Jesus. We must believe in the virgin birth
of Jesus, that He lived a sinless life, that He bled and died and rose
from the dead to take away our sins, that He ascended physically to
heaven and that He will return just as He left in His physical body
and that the Bible is the inerrant word of God.

I contend that we are, if we would look beyond the barriers of our
particular church doctrines, unified as brothers and sisters in
Christ. Our particular denomination may have a different view of some
things because of the place in the body the Lord has stationed us. I
believe it is time for local bodies to put aside their differences and
recognize that we need to bless our brothers and sisters work for the
Kingdom. The word says we shouldn’t allow divisions among us,
diversity yes, division absolutely not.

I believe things that others in the body do not, but nothing I believe
undermines the fundamental doctrines necessary for salvation through
Jesus Christ. We must agree that we can disagree about the
nonessentials of the faith and still be able to bless one another’s
efforts to reach the lost and dying. Our role in reaching the lost is
not to make more Baptists or Catholics or Methodists or Pentecostals,
it is to make disciples of Jesus Christ. It is the Holy Spirit who
decides where to place those who receive Jesus as their Lord and
Savior.

I hope we can agree that when the Lord returns He is coming for a
bride and that the bride is one body with many parts that function in
different roles. He is the head of the body and will treat each part
of it with equal respect and that He will honor and love the whole
body as His own.......

December 20, 2014

"Our actions will show that we belong to the truth, so we will be
confident when we stand before God. Even if we feel guilty, God is
greater than our feelings, and he knows everything. Dear friends, if
we don’t feel guilty, we can come to God with bold confidence. And we
will receive from him whatever we ask because we obey him and do the
things that please him."

When we are doing what is right it shows we are living in truth and
that is the evidence of our love for God and others. Nothing angers
the devil more than believers living in truth because God has no
greater joy than knowing His children are living in truth and that
they are prospering even as their soul prospers from being in truth.

The devil cannot do anything to hurt God except to hurt that which God
loves most; his children. His goal is to destroy the faith and
confidence of believers so that they will not go before God with
boldness to ask for those things that are in His will for their lives
and to intercede for others. He will do what he has always done to
keep believers from go to God boldly, attack the mind sowing seeds of
guilt and shame that he hopes will keep us from hindering his work.

It is important that we constantly keep record of the good works we
do, not to be prideful but to remind ourselves that the Spirit of God
is working through us. Our actions are the evidence of our love and by
our actions, whether by the words we speak or giving to those in need,
we show ourselves and those watching our lives that we belong to God.

There is no condemnation (guilt) in those who are believers in Christ,
if we have that feeling in our mind we can be certain that it is the
devil trying to keep us from going boldly before our Father to ask for
His will for us and others.

God does not operate in guilt and shame, He will convict us of sin but
He will always be specific about what needs to be changed in us. He
will always leave us with hope and encouragement, never with guilt and
shame or with the feeling of hopelessness or discouragement. He is the
author of hope and of faith and His goal for all is restoration,
redemption and reconciliation.

Always remember that our Father wants us to come to Him "Even if we
feel guilty, God is greater than our feelings, and he knows
everything." It is in going before Him that we receive His forgiveness
and cleansing from sin. He will redeem us and fill us with the
boldness that comes from knowing we are children of God. Remember too
that we must continuously renew our minds by reading the word and
meditating on it. It is the washing of our minds with the 'water' of
the word that brings the renewing we need daily.

Be bold today and go to your Father with boldness and the confidence
that He desires you to walk in. He will always welcome you with open
arms and a forgiving heart.......

"My name is blasphemed all day long. But I will reveal my name to my
people, and they will come to know its power. Then at last they will
recognize that I am the one who speaks to them.”

It will come to pass that Israel's veil will be lifted and she will
collectively acknowledge that the One they have rejected for centuries
is indeed the Messiah they have been awaiting. When their eyes are
opened the entire world will forever be changed and there will be no
doubt that the God of Abraham, Isaac and Jacob is the One True and
Living God and that the Jews are His chosen people.

There will be no peace on earth until Isaiah's prophecy is fulfilled.
Regardless of what world leaders at the UN or any other governing
body, including organizations like the World Council of Churches, try
to do to bring peace to the Middle East, it will not happen. His name,
Yeshua Jesus, will be spoken by Israel with all the power of the
creator behind their proclamation. The soldiers who came to arrest Him
fell to the ground when Jesus said "I Am He" and when the next attempt
to "arrest" Him takes place nations will fall before the power of His
name and confess that Jesus Christ is LORD.

The nation of Israel and the Jewish people are the center of God's
agenda for the "End of the Age" and it would be foolish for any
individual or nation to not be on the same page as God. If you are
building a storehouse of provisions and Israel is not a part of your
"Survival Plans" for the end days then you build in vain. If there
were ever a time to invest in Israel or into those who minister to
Jews it is now.

"The law has become paralyzed, and there is no justice in the courts.
The wicked far outnumber the righteous, so that justice has become
perverted." Hab. 1:4

We have become this prophecy.....Once we were a nation of laws created
by men who lived under tyranny while longing to be free. They were men
who knew that God was the author of freedom and that where His Spirit
is there is liberty. They risked their all for the prospect of forming
a nation where all men could be free and where justice would be blind
and equal toward all.

Today we are a nation of men who never lost a drop of blood or risked
lives and fortunes for this nation. All they have done is lied to the
people and sold their souls to buy the favor of the elite to gain a
position of power with a future of luxury paid for by the sweat of
those they now rule over with impunity.

We are now a nation of men above the law who oppress the poor and
punish the working man. They have perverted the system of justice that
once made us a great nation and they have stolen the hope of future
generations by building their own personal wealth.

The Lord will not allow them to enter His rest and for every act they
took to undermine this republic they will suffer shame and those they
have murdered will see justice. God will destroy those who harm the
innocent and He will repay the wicked rulers who abuse His people.
They may seem to be winning but they will reap what they sow.

I join the Psalmist in asking that God would destroy the wicked and
expose their corruption. That He would make an open show of their
demise and bring shame on them. That the wealth they have acquired
through their treasonous actions would be returned to the people they
deceived. And that the future they relied on would be seen by them
from behind the bars of a prison they built to punish those who dared
resist their oppressive laws.

May we once again be a nation of laws and justice is blind and equal
for all. A land where the Spirit of the Living God is once again

"In his justice he will pay back those who persecute you." Paul to the
Church in Thessalonica

What we are seeing unfold in America is a counterfeit of what the
Church should be doing. Progressives are seeking the destruction of
our nation to gain control of society. The radical element of the
Progressive movement, including the president and many in our
legislative branch of government are fomenting hatred and violence in
the natural realm so that they can implement martial law to control
and silence any and all opposition to their agenda. They are
encouraging division and distrust while fueling the flames of general
discord among all citizens.

The tactics being used against our republic are as sinister and evil
as the one they originate from and we must not allow them to continue
to go unchallenged. We must become as brutal and ruthless against evil
as evil is against all that is good.

Paul told the Church in Ephesus to expose evil wherever it is found
and we must follow that command. He told them, and us, to "Be strong
in the Lord and in His mighty power. Put on all of God’s armor so that
you will be able to stand firm against all strategies of the devil.
For we are not fighting against flesh-and-blood enemies, but against
evil rulers and authorities of the unseen world, against mighty powers
in this dark world, and against evil spirits in the heavenly places."
Our fighting must rise to a new and deadly level in the spiritual
arena, we must become as determined to see God's enemies destroyed as
they are to see our destruction.

"Now I, Paul, appeal to you with the gentleness and kindness of
Christ—though I realize you think I am timid in person and bold only
when I write from far away. Well, I am begging you now so that when I
come I won’t have to be bold with those who think we act from human
motives. We are human, but we don’t wage war as humans do. We use
God’s mighty weapons, not worldly weapons, to knock down the
strongholds of human reasoning and to destroy false arguments. We
destroy every proud obstacle that keeps people from knowing God. We
capture their rebellious thoughts and teach them to obey Christ. And
after you have become fully obedient, we will punish everyone who
remains disobedient."

Our battle is not one of passively praying and then going about our
daily routines hoping God will do something because we spent a few
minutes saying "oh Jesus help our leaders find You, and turn their
hearts to see the errors of their way......." We must begin to battle
the demons they have allowed to control them and are using to destroy
the land God has given us. Our weapons are much more powerful than
anything the devil has at his disposal but if we do not begin acting
like warriors and abandon the Neville Chamberlin appeasement
philosophy we will lose the current battle and our children will be
forced to go around this mountain again.

We must become as radical as the enemy we fight against. We must
understand his tactics and counter his every move until we are no
longer fighting to regain ground we have given up but we are fighting
an offensive war in the heavenlies. The only time I believe God will
honor a war of aggression is when the aggression is in the spirit
realm against the powers of hell, it is that time!

These are Paul's words "And after you have become fully obedient, we
will punish everyone who remains disobedient." We, the church, need to
punish those who have refused to repent, those who have betrayed the
nation they swore to defend must be forced to trial for their crimes
and we must demand that our representatives hold all the guilty
parties accountable for their crimes against God and His purposes.

"....we are not fighting against flesh-and-blood enemies, but against
evil rulers and authorities of the unseen world, against mighty powers
in this dark world, and against evil spirits in the heavenly
places...", note that in this verse Paul states that we are fighting
powers in the spiritual realm AND "powers IN THIS DARK WORLD"........

"Heaven and earth will disappear, but my words will never disappear."

No other book of "Words" has been the center of such controversy and
yet survived every vicious attack and attempt to remove it from
society, even the Nazi book burnings could not wipe it out of Europe.
No other book has been read by more people than the Bible. No other
book has had the influence on the history of the world than the Bible.
No other book has been on the "Best Seller" list longer than the
Bible.

It should provoke those who don't have a clue about what is written
within its pages to try to figure out how such a simple thing as a
book is capable of being the center of centuries of conflict and the
focus of hatred by those who are ignorant of its content.

The whole book is about one "Man" and His desire to love all of
mankind and to show man how to love in return. It is full of
scientific, historical, geological, geographical and many other
scientifically provable facts and is completely based in truth yet is
continuously under attack....why?

There is much more going on with this book than many are aware of,
there is a reason for all the controversy and distractions away from
this book. There is a reason the "Left" hates it and yet "Quotes" from
it out of context and misrepresents its meaning and purpose. There is
a reason it was forbidden for centuries to be read by the "Common Man"
or for him to posses it in any form. There was a reason only the
"Priests" were allowed to read it to the people and only then in a
language they did not speak. There is a reason that men were sentenced
to death for translating it into readable languages.

The reason is simple, at least to anyone who is willing to be honest
and desires to know the truth more than they desire to be right. The
facts surrounding all attempts to silence the Bible are this; in each
case, including the religious leaders during the time Jesus walked the
earth, the reason was because those in power saw it as a threat to
their control over the population. The same reason applies to those
trying to remove it from the public stage today. They know that true
liberty, individual freedom and creativity to invent, produce and
market products creating individual wealth is taught, encouraged and
in fact originates from the "Words" of the Bible and the God who
inspired those words wants all men to be free from those who oppress
and abuse others.

There is nothing new under the sun and the things happening now to ban
the Bible and attempts to twist its words to say what it clearly does
not (what the snake did in the garden) will continue to happen until
there is no longer time for the debate and deception. To be free,
prosperous and happy a society needs only one thing, free and open
access to the Bible in every sector of daily life from cradle to grave
so that the Spirit who interprets it can freely and openly work in the
hearts and minds of its willing readers. Our founders understood this
but for some reason we consider ourselves to be a bit wiser than they
obviously were.....

celebrating certain holy days or new moon ceremonies or Sabbaths. For
these rules are only shadows of the reality yet to come. And Christ
himself is that reality. Don’t let anyone condemn you by insisting on
pious self-denial or the worship of angels, saying they have had
visions about these things. Their sinful minds have made them proud,
and they are not connected to Christ, the head of the body."
Colossians 2

Here is just one more passage of scripture that plainly says it is ok
to celebrate or not celebrate a particular 'Holy-Day" or "Holiday.
There are several passages that show how Jesus fulfilled all but one
of the Feasts of God and that we are not bound by the law to keep them
but we are also not forbidden to celebrate them, He leaves the choice
up to us. Jesus fulfilled the law of Moses and delivered us from the
dictates of them. The law was given to show that without the
indwelling of the Spirit of God it is impossible to live a life worthy
of Him and His righteousness.

Paul said that where the Spirit of the Lord is there is liberty and
you can be sure that whenever someone is trying to convince you that
you have to do something other than confess with your mouth and
believe in your heart that Jesus is your all, the Spirit of the Lord
is not leading the person telling you that. That does not mean that we
have the liberty to become lawless and to reject any boundaries as
believers, because there are clearly standards we as believers must
uphold. We cannot allow our liberties to cause a young believer to
stumble either, we must be sensitive to those who are new in the faith
and allow the Lord to show them what liberty He will allow them in
their lives.

The word is very clear that the liberty we have through the Holy
Spirit is not the liberty to be lawless but it is the liberty to
"Serve" each other with a willing heart and open hand. We have been
given much as believers and much is required of us. Our greatest call
of service to each other is explained in Galatians 6, "Share one
another's burdens and in so doing you will fulfill the "Law of
Christ". The purpose of the Law of Christ is to build each other up
and to encourage the body to love. It is the love we openly express to
each other that will cause those who do not have a relationship with
God or have not become part of a local body to see the need in their
life to have that relationship. "By your love they will know you are
His disciples...."

New Living Translation;
"When people do not accept divine guidance, they run wild. But whoever
obeys the law is joyful."

English Standard Version;
"Where there is no prophetic vision the people cast off restraint, but
blessed is he who keeps the law."

New American Standard Bible;
"Where there is no vision, the people are unrestrained, But happy is
he who keeps the law."

King James Bible;
"Where there is no vision, the people perish: but he that keepeth the
law, happy is he"

The world is in crisis because those who are leading on the political
stage have an agenda that is contrary to the purpose of God for man.
The 'vision' they have is for self gratification and control of
society by any means necessary. In most countries around the world the
only way to change the system is by violent overthrow, which as we
have seen does not always end well.

The good thing about living in America is that our founders had
"Divine Vision" when they drafted our founding documents. They left us
a Constitutional Republic which puts as the authority over us those
documents not those elected to office who have sworn to "Uphold the
Constitution".

What we are seeing now is a president and Congress with an ungodly
vision trying to destroy a Divinely ordained nation with a purpose and
destiny established on the Word of God and the Covenant between Him
and this nation. The promise from Solomon's book of wisdom is this
"When the wicked are in authority, sin flourishes, but the godly will
live to see their downfall." Prv 29:16

It is the vision of leaders that determines how a people will live and
whether peace will flourish among the them. The wicked are in
authority now but we, the godly, will live to see their downfall. I
believe it is imperative that believers begin to seek God like never
before, pleading with Him to put godly men in office and give them His
vision for our nation. Those of us who see and understand, whether
Christian or not, that the vision those in office now have is
destroying our liberty, must begin reaching out to those around us
pointing out the truth in the statements from proverbs that says
vision dictates destiny and that it is critical that we return to the
vision of our forefathers. That vision is what has made America able
to survive through two centuries of chaos in the world. If we discard
that vision we will regret it and history will count us as the a
generation of fools because in our "Collective Heart" we are
proclaiming there is no God.

Our nation is in free fall and it is in danger of collapse, but that
may not be such a bad thing if it awakens the people to the errors of
our ways by electing to ignore our destiny. Our God is in covenant
with America and He cannot allow us to fail, His name is at stake and
He will pursue us just as He has Israel. The only question is how
severely do we need to be 'spanked' before we realize we screwed
up.......

Give us today the food we need...."

The words "Daily Bread" as most versions translate them are most
likely not bread in the sense of food for the natural body, although
as mortal beings it is certainly necessary to life, but are actually
from the Greek words "Epi and Ousia".

When Jesus said that He is the "True Bread" and when He taught the
disciples how to pray He was focused on the spiritual man not the
natural body. He was teaching them and us to pray and ask for the
bread that feeds the spirit of man not for food for the natural body.

He was literally saying that we need to daily ask for the "Epi Ousia"
or the bread that feeds our inner most being. We need to daily be
filled with the Spirit of God to be able to walk in the Spirit and not
follow the dictates of our flesh. It is fine and we should pray for
our physical bodys nourishment but more importantly we must ask for a
daily infilling of His Spirit, the "Epi Ousia" Bread of Life.

John 1:1-2, 14 NLT

For this reason I celebrate the Birth of Jesus Christ. The very
thought that the creator and sustainer of all that exists would lower
Himself to the state of a created being, and even lower still a fallen
being, so that He could rescue the entire race of beings that rejected
Him is more than reason enough to celebrate.

There are many cults and even some believers who believe it is wrong
to celebrate Jesus' birth in December, or at any time, based on the
fact that December 25th is in line with satanic worship or some
nonsense like that or that because the early Church did not celebrate
it we should not, though I am not sure how they know it wasn't
celebrated....

My perspective is December 25th, regardless of what some satan
worshippers are doing that day, is the "Day the Lord has made and I
will rejoice and be glad in it" and I will choose to celebrate Jesus'
birth on that day even though I believe it to be in the spring of the
year.

As for not celebrating it at all because there seems to be no record
of the early church celebrating it is to assume that the 1st century
Church was full of exceptional biblical scholars and was the perfect
example of what the Church should be (Wrong!!!). Though there "May"
not be any record of the early Church celebrating His birth there is
more than a little evidence that His Father held nothing back in
celebrating His birth! Read Luke's gospel account and you will see
that there was a "Stage Production" in the heavenlys like nothing ever
seen.

In my limited understanding, if God does something that a few men
decide is wrong and God has no where in His word forbidden me to do as
He did, I'm sorry to the few but I'm doing as God did. Right or wrong
in celebrating on the 25th of December, my heart is to be grateful for
God sending Jesus to become like me and to die so that I may be
redeemed and delivered from my self.

Again I say "This is the day the Lord has made and I will rejoice in
it!" There is nothing that "Belongs" to the devil, no day no hour no
nothing! He has only temporary custody of a very limited number of
things that hold nothing over those who believe in Jesus and I will
not concede December 25th to belonging to him any more than I will
concede that he owns October 31, every day belongs to my God!!!

The day is fast approaching and with it will come bitter sweet
emotions for the Lord and believers alike. (The sweet) The uniting of
all who have trusted their souls to the Lord for eternal salvation to
their savior will bring great joy to the God Head and believers in
Him. (The bitter) The condemning to eternal separation from the love
of the Father of all who chose to reject Him will cause not only grief
for the moment but that grief will forever be felt by Him. He will
hear the wailing and gnashing of teeth from every soul that made the
choice to reject His offer of life for eternity.

The word says that He will wipe away every tear from believers so that
means there will be tears in heaven. Those tears more likely than not
will be being shed by believers who are having a "Schindler" moment.
There will likely be instant understanding of every moment we did not
do all we could have done to reach the lost and advance the Kingdom.
There is no more important purpose for believers than to know and make
known the Lord of creation to those in our part of the world.

For myself there have been many missed opportunities and my prayer is
that those missed opportunities will be redeemed and that I will have
a second chance to present the message of His love to everyone I have
met. (The Bitter) There will be that moment when I have to give
account for my failures as the accuser of my soul presents his
evidence of the sin and shame I have brought and the tears that will
flow from my eyes will be tears of shame and sorrow because every
accusation made will be true. (The sweet) Jesus will step between me
and the accuser and proclaim that all that has been presented as
evidence against me which deserves eternal damnation is true but He
has paid the penalty for my failures. At that moment the tears and
shame will be wiped away and joy will be overwhelming.

Lord open my eyes and keep them open so that I will earn no more tears
and that many will be added to your Kingdom. I do not want to give one
more piece of evidence to the accuser but instead cause him to be the
one wailing and gnashing his teeth as alone in hell as is
possible......

"Christ" was revealed, simply put means that the Anointing/Anointed
One was manifested in human form. It has been centuries and to this
day no one who has attempted to disprove the evidence given, in both
the Bible and secular records, of the words and deeds of "Christ"
Jesus can do so.

The great mystery is that God loved even the most vile of humans
enough to do what was necessary to give them/us a way to escape the
certainty of eternal damnation.

Today has been labeled "Black Friday" but it does not have to be black
for those who will die today. If we who know of this mystery will
share it with those we know have not believed, some may come to the
saving knowledge of Jesus and escape eternal separation from the

"May the grace of the Lord Jesus Christ, the love of God, and the
fellowship of the Holy Spirit be with you all."
Paul gives a clear and concise distinction between Father, Son and
Holy Spirit. The theological description or definition of the Trinity
is "Ontological Equality and Economic Subordination".
Ontological Equality means that each member of the trinity is
completely and fully equal in their being and each is fully God in all
their attributes and being. Economic Subordination means that by
mutual agreement all three have agreed that God the Father is the
ultimate authority with Jesus Christ in willing submission to Him and
the Holy Spirit in submission to both Father and Son.
This relationship is necessary because God is a God of order. The
trinity is what man is meant to reflect in our relationships. The only
way it is possible for human relationships to operate in this type of
order is if we understand and trust that the authority we place
ourselves under has as its goal the wellbeing of its followers.
If we, like Jesus, know that the person we submit to is operating in
love for us and has an eternal perspective that will benefit those who
follow after us we can submit to them without fear or hesitation.
“Perfect love removes all fear”.
Be careful who you allow to be in authority over you but do not
neglect the order God has ordained for us to be reflecting in life.
Only a foolish person believes they need no one to be in submission to
and that they can remain unattached from the corporate body. Man was
created to be in relationship with God and with other human beings
both in personal and corporate settings.

ancient prophecy. I know that I know we are on the verge of the

There is only one way to escape the suffering to come and that is to

 Stand Alone

When trouble surrounds you it is always reassuring to know there are
friends that will come to your aid and stand by your side and fight
with you. But sometimes when you are despised by the powers that be
you may have to stand alone. If you are firmly rooted in the knowledge
that your cause is noble and will affect generations to come you are
somehow able to gather the strength and courage it takes to the stand.

Two thousand years ago a man had to summon that strength and courage
to stand alone and suffer the scorn of the world. He was abandoned by
his friends and left to face the enemy of his soul. The man was an
Israeli Jew and though he was abandoned by all to face the enemy, he
stood his ground. It looked to all who witnessed the event as though
he had lost the fight. He died in front of the mob that accused,
tried, condemned and killed him. They buried him alone and those who
had loved him and had faith in him were devastated and gave up all
hope.  But that was not the end! While the remnant of friends had
given up hope and were trying to figure out how to go on with life
without their friend, the God of Abraham, Isaac and Jacob was working
to bring about the most miraculous act of deliverance that had ever
been seen. He rose from the grave and the ash heap of history was
robbed of its victory.

There were many that wanted desperately to help him and fight for
him, but the powers that were in control of the government and the
judicial system were blind to the reality of what was transpiring
through their actions. No one, including those who supported him,
realized at the time that what was happening was actually a part of a
plan that had been devised before time began.

There is a similar story unfolding in the world now. Israel is
surrounded by the enemy of her soul and she is being abandoned by her
friends. Those who had once said they would never leave her or forsake
her are fleeing from her and leaving her to stand alone in what looks
like certain destruction. Her leaders are asking for support from
allies but are being rejected by all and are being forced to stand
alone.

Both the United States and the European Union have sent billions of
dollars to her enemies the Muslim Brotherhood and Hamas. She has been
denied an audience with what until a few years ago had been her
strongest ally in the world. The money that has been given to her
enemies is, by any stretch of the imagination, blood money that will
be used to fund their assault on her and the west. All those nations
who have given support to the enemies of Israel are guilty of aiding
and abetting the enemies of God and will be held to account by Him for
their actions.

If we are at the time spoken of in Scripture when the world will
unite in an effort to destroy Israel, those of us who love and support
her must take courage and trust that there is more going on than what
we can see with the natural eye. If we are indeed at that time in
history, then Israel must stand alone and put her trust in the God of
Abraham, Isaac and Jacob.

I believe that it is time to intercede for Israel like never before.
All of the powers of hell are being arrayed around the world to bring
destruction to her and establish a New World Order. The nations
involved all have their own agenda and are only unified to the degree
that chaos will bring about the right opportunity for them to make
their own move. Though each thinks they are using the other to be the
ultimate victor, they are sadly mistaken! They are all being used by
God to bring Israel to the place where she calls out to her God for
deliverance.

So as we watch things unfold in the Middle East, pray first and
foremost that Israel will be unified in her call to God for his
protection and that He would be revealed through her as the one True
God. Pray also that God will have mercy on those of us who live in the
nations who have betrayed the people and the nation of Israel.

Always remember that when things look beyond hope, God is still at
work to fulfill His purpose even in the blackness of despair.  It was
faithfulness that allowed the women who went to care for the body of a
dead friend in his tomb to instead meet a risen savior. I believe that
the same faithfulness to Israel, even in the midst of what seems like
complete failure, will allow us to see the fulfillment of the next
great deliverance for His people and those who will continue to be
faithful to her. I pray that in His mercy He will see that there is a
remnant of the faithful still in America and that saving America would
be part of his Devine plan for the end of the age.
